Tamil Nadu rooftop solar subsidy: up to ₹1,00,000 with the state top-up

Eligible homes can receive ₹35,000, ₹70,000, or ₹1,00,000 in combined central and state assistance. There is no second application for the state amount. AGSunWin sizes the plant to your bill and carries the file through commissioning.

People search “₹20,000 solar subsidy Tamil Nadu”. That round figure is the state top-up on a 3 kW home. The state amounts are ₹5,000, ₹10,000, and ₹22,000, paid on top of PM Surya Ghar. AGSunWin does not keep that money. The government pays you, after the plant is commissioned, if you qualify.

Which slab should we design to?

Combined government assistance: ₹1,00,000

Central ₹78,000 · Tamil Nadu ₹22,000

This is the slab people mean by “₹20,000 extra”. Eligibility is not confirmed until we see the connection and the roof.

We take this work when

  • The connection is a Tamil Nadu home, and the application window the scheme uses is from 5 August 2026.
  • The plant is grid-connected, within the residential limit the scheme states (up to 10 kW).
  • Modules can meet the scheme’s DCR and ALMM rule, and the installer route the scheme requires is confirmed before you pay.
  • You want AGSunWin to survey, design, install, and stay on the net-meter and commissioning file until the central credit, then help you read the state credit.

We will not put this subsidy on

  • A shop, office, or factory. That is an EPC job, without this household grant.
  • A dairy, cold store, mill, or crop under panels. That is the farm brief. The agrivoltaics scheme is not open.
  • An apartment common-area plant. A flat with its own domestic meter is a different conversation: flat rooftop offer.
  • An off-grid-only plant. Backup batteries are scoped separately and are not what this grant is described for.

What you do, what we do, what the agencies do

  1. You apply once on the national PM Surya Ghar portal. We walk the form if you have not started.
  2. We check the module list and the installer route the scheme asks for before procurement.
  3. We install to the surveyed size.
  4. We file the TNPDCL net meter. Net-meter support.
  5. Commissioning evidence is packed for the claim.
  6. The central amount is credited to your account by the central process.
  7. The state amount follows by direct transfer. The state portal says about 7–15 days after the central credit. We do not operate TEDA’s login.

Budget context, not our target: the state set aside ₹50 crore and spoke of 1 lakh homes by March 2027. Both amounts are paid to you, not deducted as an AGSunWin discount. Government portal.

We read the bill first, then show whether 1, 2, or 3 kW (or more) is the plant. A one-page recommendation comes out of the assessment.

Install to the scheme rules

We specify modules that can pass the DCR and ALMM check and we show that basis before you pay. No brand is locked on this page.

File until the transfer

Portal walkthrough, document list, net-meter file, commissioning pack, and a status read after the central credit. Reply on the next business day. Approval is the agency’s, not ours.

Papers we ask you to keep ready

Latest EB bill, identity, the bank proof the transfer needs, roof ownership or a society NOC, and a roof photo. Bring whatever the national portal asks for. One bill starts the visit. Twelve months sizes the plant better. WhatsApp the bill to 98846 04742.

Before you pay

We confirm the installer route this scheme requires. If that route is not ours, we say so and we do not sell you the subsidy claim. If you already applied after 5 August, we still design and install. If the central amount is already in your account, we help you read whether the state transfer is next. If a claim is queried, we can review the mismatch in a paid hour. We do not offer to “get it passed”.
