Agrivoltaics in Tamil Nadu: size the plant that serves a bill. The crop-under-panel scheme is not open.

The ministry has called agrivoltaics the next step after PM-KUSUM. There is no application, no extra subsidy rate, and no empanelled-vendor list. If a dairy, cold store, mill, nursery, or packhouse already pays for power, AGSunWin can survey that load now.

What the government has said

On 10 March 2026 the minister said PM-KUSUM 2.0 was being prepared with a dedicated agri-PV piece, so panels and crops can share land. PIB.
On 9 September 2026 he said the next phase was still in process, aimed at small farmers, FPOs, cooperatives, and panchayats, with land ownership staying with the farmer. PIB.
On 19 October 2026 the MNRE secretary told reporters the ministry is working with Finance on support, inside a revised scheme or as its own scheme, because raised structures cost more. He said it goes to Cabinet when it is ready. Vegetables, horticulture, and floriculture are the early IARI indications. Rice, wheat, and sugarcane are the weaker first fit. Those crop notes are preliminary.
The old PM-KUSUM window for new plants is closed. Tamil Nadu’s installed Component A capacity, in the Lok Sabha annexure to 31 July 2026, is 3 MW. A landowner starting today is waiting for the next notification.

What we will not promise

A rupee grant, a feed-in tariff, or a payback year.
That AGSunWin is empanelled for a scheme that has no vendor list.
That cultivation continues unchanged under a dense array. If India adopts a rule that most of the land must stay farmed, a packed layout may not qualify. We design to the rule that exists on the day you pay.

Read the bill first

One electricity bill starts the file. Twelve months sizes the plant better. We say whether the roof, the yard, or a raised shed canopy is the structure.

Keep farming and power apart

We engineer the electrical plant. A crop plan needs an agriculture partner. We do not publish a yield.

Hold the future scheme file

If you only have land and a crop, we record acres, ownership, the substation distance, and who will farm. We call you when a notified text exists. We do not file a grant that is not open.
